AA Helicopters Ltd has been at Wolverhampton Business airport, or Halfpenny Green as it is also known, for five years. In that time we have trained many private pilots, some of whom have gone on to become professional pilots as well as flying thousands of "trial lessons" for gifts and prospective Chopper pilots of the future. As one of the UK's leading helicopter training schools, we offer helicopter pilot training and flying lessons on the popular R22 and R44 aircraft, others by arrangement.
In addition, we hire aircraft to suitably trained pilots, subject a satisfactory check ride by one of our instructors. Halfpenny Green Airport in South Staffordshire, gives AA Helicopters the perfect base to operate flights in the local five counties within minutes. We can conduct flights in the counties of the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire or Hereford shire. Our pilots have travelled the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. The Team at the Green, offer training to the highest standard for you to graduate the course and gain a PPL(h) (Private Pilot Licence Helicopters). There are students and PPL (Private Pilot Licence holder) pilots who already take advantage of our facilities, so much so we have students come from all over the United Kingdom with some of students commuting from surrounding counties including Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Cheshire!
We are always ready to talk about and give advice on flying helicopters, and even if you aren't flying, our warm club like atmosphere will be a refreshing change from other Helicopter flying schools - our philosophy is to put people first, with safety at the top of our people focuses. We also offer Trial Lessons for special occasions, such as Birthdays and Anniversaries and new for 2017 local area Tours of the Severn Valley and beyond!
